These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the mymealT mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. In these Terms, "mymealT", "we", "our", and "us" refer to Emperor Technologies LLC, a California limited liability company that operates the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use mymealT. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Your Account

You create an account using your phone number, verified via a one-time passcode (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining access to your phone number and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account.

3. The Service

mymealT helps you log meals, estimate nutrition, track calories and macros, and view trends and insights. Nutritional values, calorie targets, scores, and AI-generated analysis are estimates provided for general informational and wellness purposes only. Actual nutritional content varies, and estimates may be inaccurate.

4. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

mymealT is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or professional health advice. The Service is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or other healthcare professional. Do not use mymealT to diagnose, treat, or manage any medical condition. Always seek the advice of a healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, exercise, or health routine, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, have an eating disorder, or have any medical condition. You use the Service and rely on its estimates and suggestions at your own risk.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some features use artificial intelligence to analyse meal photos and descriptions and to generate summaries and suggestions. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated information before relying on it.

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

mymealT offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional features and usage.

• In-app purchases made on iOS or Android are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, and are subject to that platform's terms.
• Web subscriptions are billed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. You authorise us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable fees.
• Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method is charged for renewal at the then-current price.
• Cancellation — you can cancel anytime. For App Store or Google Play subscriptions, manage or cancel in your device's account settings; for web subscriptions, use the subscription-management page or contact us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
• Refunds — purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the respective platform's refund policy. For web purchases, refunds are handled at our discretion except where a refund is required by law.
• Price changes — we may change subscription prices. We will give you advance notice, and changes apply to the next billing period.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our systems, or bypass usage limits or security measures.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Use automated means to access the Service or scrape data without our permission.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including meal logs and photos ("Your Content"). You grant mymealT a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you (for example, to analyse a meal photo or show your trends). You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it. Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and content we provide, is owned by Emperor Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (such as hosting, SMS delivery, photo storage, AI processing, payment processing, and push notifications) as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of app-store and payment platforms is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates and suggestions will be accurate.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mymealT and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless mymealT and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will continue to apply.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via a push notification or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
